01 / The house

Films need time. And somewhere to spend it.

Documentary films often find their form in the editing room. Images become structure, rhythm and point of view. That process takes time.

GULU GULU presenta is a home where a film can settle for a few weeks or months. A private space to concentrate, watch, talk and return to the material with continuity.

Professional infrastructure. Light, quiet and a personal way of working.

Filip Martinović

From within filmmaking.

GULU GULU presenta grows from Filip Martinović’s experience as a filmmaker and producer, and a conviction shared with the people he has made films with: cinema needs time, trust and a place to work from.

Directing and producing documentaries means living with uncertainty. Returning to the material, listening to what is there and accepting that a film may find its way later than we imagined. Having experienced these processes from within is where this house begins.

That perspective becomes practical work: understanding each project’s needs, organising the stages of post-production and bringing together the right professionals. Experience in directing, producing and international collaborations helps us support both creative decisions and the practical conditions that make them possible.

The studio gives a home to this way of working and to a network of trusted relationships built over the years. A place in Barcelona where directors, editors and producers can settle in, share their doubts and work with continuity. We care about reaching the end of a film while also caring for the process and the people making it.
