She drives them in her car, using Spanish identity cards lent by friends. With their help, she has built an international network of activists. It works every time, until an unexpected turn changes everything: she finds herself in a Serbian prison, accused of human trafficking. Ana the Witch

Production · GULU GULU presenta

In development · 70 min · Serbia

Full project details

A filmmaker in her thirties unexpectedly discovers her family’s VHS archive, drawing her back into a childhood she had long buried. Confronted with her father’s obsessive filming and her mother’s silent struggles, an unresolved scissors incident that once marked her as “Ana the Witch” opens onto a deeper story of school bullying and her inability to discuss it with her parents. Working with the footage, Ana gradually reconnects with the child she once blamed, realising that the problem was not her behaviour, but a household where difficulties were never addressed.
